Clarity is superb. Subwoofer is ok but lacks a little in deep base response. Had a little problem positioning the surround speakers in a 20' x 20' room being that my tv is in a corner and not centered. The AdaptIQ proceedure helped alot, but a fade control from left to right and front to back wouldv'e been appreciated. All in all I've compared this system with others in about the same price range and couldn't find any better.

JVC SR-V101US S-VHS Recorder and Player Review

JVC has always manufactured the best S-VHS recorders. You get 400 lines of resolution when you record on S-VHS tape in the SP mode. This unit does have S-VHS ET capability but I still prefer to record on S-VHS tapes for best results. This is an exceptional unit. This is the first review that I'm writing and, I feel this machine deserves every word.
Recently had a Mac Book Pro which had a history of several hardware issues, and, ended up replacing the unit through Apple Care with a Mac Book Pro 17" Quad Core i7 with 8GB of RAM.
The unbelievable power of this machine had made my Power Mac G5 Quad 4 officially obsolete. This system is best describe as a portable desktop. As a commercial photographer I am pretty demanding when it comes to graphics and graphic software, and this machine certainly keeps up with anything and everything that throw at it and, more. It's also hooked up to Cinema Display and, the footprint compared to a desktop is minimal. Power wise, I use to have to wait for CS5 to open, now its almost instantaneous. Processing 40mb images are a breeze, in addition to being so quiet it's hard to tell whether it's on. I will say through I ordered a shell cover for it, seems that the case is much more prone to scratches and dents due to what seems like a thinner skin.
Again if your looking for something that has the power of a desktop but, need portability, then I would go with this latest in Mac Book Pros.

I am professional photographer specializing in botanical and nature photography. I bought the Tamron 180 lens after many years of using the equally great 90mm macro. I love the 90mm but was looking for a lens with greater working distance and better ability to control backgrounds. The 180mm has proven to be excellent optically as well as ergonomically well designed. The light weight, for its size, coupled with the very intuitive af-mf push-pull design are great in the field. Vivitek D825MX 2600 Lumen XGA DLP Projector Review

I've used a few other projectors, but this is first one I've owned. I selected it for use in many different venues for large and small groups. I made my best guess based on the reviews, zoom, brightness, clarity, ease of use, weight, size, and noise. I also liked the long life and lower replacement cost of the lamp. I've been quite satisfied with the D825MX performance regarding all my criteria except zoom, which is minimal. The zoom is so minimal in fact that it functions more like a minor adjustment similar to keystone (which works well). If I had it to do all over again I would study the zoom numbers carefully and look for something that provides more meaningful options for locating the projector. As it is, for a 5' high image, there is only a 2 foot difference in distance from the screen (from 12 feet to 14). I don't blame the product which performs as advertised, just the understanding the implications of every aspect of the specifications before purchase. I may yet return it for one with better distance options.
Coming back to this about a year later, I am still very happy with the D825MX and have not found the lack of zoom to be a problem. My peers have other projectors that I don't prefer but they're envious of the long lamp life and low lamp replacement cost. I've loaned this out a lot and had no troubles despite some rough handling. This is a good solid machine.
