I bought this inverter from Boat and RV Assessories because of the great price. I was told that Samlex was not as reliable as some of the other, more expensive brands, but so far we haven't had any issues. We have used it non-stop for 15 months for our off-grid, solar-powered house. The only thing is that I've noticed (and I'm sure this is the same for all inverters) is that when we equalize the batteries once a month, the inverter will self-protect and shutoff due to the higher voltage. Once the batteries are finished equalizing and voltage goes back down, it works just fine.
