I bought the Retrowriter to give to my Dad for Christmas so he could archive his LPs. The boxed unit arrived in three days and was packed in another box which was packed in a third box...each seperated by packing material! It was in perfect condition but due to some bad reviews I wanted to test it right away in case it had to be returned. Everything worked fine and the instructions were well written and clear.

If I had to find one thing to fuss about it would be the record player's swing arm. It's must be manually placed on, and removed from, the record. The stylus lift bracket is a little short and having big fingers like mine allows it to easily slip. I will add a hook to allow better control of the arm. An automated swing arm would've been nice but more pricier I'm sure. Other than that small gripe I'm very pleased with the unit and Amazon's price was even lower than the military BX store. Oh, and a FRONT loading cassette player would've been nice too but that's what the aux-in jacks are for I guess.
