My antique Bogen tripod of the early 1990 vintage non carbon fiber edition.

Operation of the legs takes one of my arthritic hands to loosen all three leg extension components at the same time x three legs. When fully extended the tripod's ball head is over my 5'8" frame. Really useful working on uneven mountain sides and maintaing a level tripod. A tad heavy even for carbon fiber but still, for me a tradeoff I was willing to make for the stability. It comes with a tool bag with interchangeable parts and proper tools to keep everything tight in the field and of course a nicely made tripod bag advertising the fact that an Induro tripod lives within, please steal me.

Had this been a pound lighter it would have received 5 stars, but, as I stated the weight was worth the stability tradeoff.

Recommendation for all folk hunting carbon fiber tripods. Start extension from the lowest leg segment and extend it fully, then work your way up until you have reached your desired height to work at. Always carry a light weight towel to wipe the legs prior to returning them to their closed and carry position. Keeping these parts clean to begin with offers longer life for various parts that may otherwise wear out prematurely.
