This iOptron "SmartStar" telescope has made stargazing much easier and more enjoyable for my whole family. We have used a variety of manually operated telescopes in the past, but this one is by far the best in terms of locating, tracking, and for viewing objects.

Set up is very easy, basically just set it up facing South, turn it on, tell it to find a bright object via the controller (like the moon), and it will get very close. We then fine tune the sighting and the GPS will keep it tracking. I would have liked a little better initial accuracy out of the object targeting and it does help to fully read the instructions (I keep a copy on my laptop so we have them in the field) to get the most out of it.

This is a lot of fun to use and the quality is right on par with the Meade telescopes I have used in the past.
