Been using this combo (first A900 then A99) for three years. With in the in camera stabilization and great high iso performance married to this lens you will get stunning files (and ones that are "right" at the onset). I shoot RAW and don't know about jpegs. The A99 is easy to use and customize and it's rock solid pro or prosummer camera. The Zeiss (all of them!) optics are superb that's why I come over from another system. Prices are coming down and this bundle is a great start to the Sony/Zeiss combination. The build on both is exceptional. Only drawback is the weight but you'll get what you pay for. A better strap will help.Treat your self to that and an extra battery.
