It may just my system type? (Vortexbox 3T server to Logitech Squeezebox to Audio Authority Digital Selector switch to NuForce Icon HDP DAC to Grado PS500 Headphones, but the sound through the Furman is not only clearer but warmer. All units plugged into the Furman. I did not expect a sound improvement, but just got the device for equipment protection. Most of my music is in Flac format from HD Tracks and Linn Records.Just found out an interesting fact about ext HD placement around the Furman. My externsl hard drives did not work when place above or below the left side of the unit. I have 1" thick wood shelves but evidently the electronics on the left side of the Furman interfear with the HD operation. I got one message on PC that controller was not working on the HD. So moved the HD's away from the left side and they work fine. Checked the data on the drives and it was fine. So assuming the Furman interfears with the controllers if placement of HD's is too close to left side???
