16PORT 1-LOCAL with On-board Web Interface Review
When searching for an alternative to Dell's KVMs, I came across Avocent and realized that Dell simply rebrands their equipment. I saved over 75% getting the Avocent and buying through Amazon. I have connected nine servers so far and the switch works great at the console as well as through its web interface. BTW, Dell will charge you extra for a "key" to activate the IP functionality. Configuration was a snap, you will, however, still need USB or PS2 connection pods for each machine..Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "16PORT 1-LOCAL with On-board Web Interface" are high quality item.
