Other projectors, for the most part, use a dynamic iris to achieve their stated contrast ratio, this one does not. A dynamic iris increases overall brightness in light scenes and decreases it in dark scenes leading to a lack of shadow detail in scenes with both light and dark areas and the brightness changes may be noticeably distracting. This projector doesn't use such tricks and therefore can provide awesome detail in dark and light areas at the same time. 3D content looks pretty good but may have some ghosting issues on certain content. If you are looking for a home theater projector for primarily 2D content with occasional 3D you really can't go wrong with this projector.
