While $700 for a dive light seems ridiculously expensive even by my standards. ( I am a professional and use this light every day) Once I saw this light in action underwater I was sold.PROS: No opening the light to charge it. You just plug the light in to the charger at the end of the dive. It is a sealed unit. The opening and closing of dive lights and making sure there was not a speck of sand or a hair on an o ring has cost me too many dive lights over the years. This takes the guess work out.
The power settings are perfect. You can run at 600 lumens (still brighter than almost any dive light out there) and get amazing run time. At 1200 lumens on flood setting you can light up a whole wall in a cave (This was a video light before becoming a dive light)
On spot setting you can point at the reef and show your buddy what you are pointing at.
The display tells you how much power the battery holds so you can adjust the brightness if you are having a long dive and need to be sure that the light will burn for more than an hour. The display also tells you how charged up you are when you charge.
Charge time is short (under 2 hours)
Compact, fits in your hand or your pocket.
CONS: Price is high. If you had to amortize the cost you may also consider this to be your back up flashlight in your car, camping, rafting, hiking. It is rugged and built for heavy duty.
Use it and never look back.
