OK, I get it. No unit is ever going to be "the unit" that everyone loves. So, as with other reviews, I have nothing startling to talk about. I wish the map display was more TOM TOM like, I am used to seeing my speed, (yeah, I know, I do have a speedometer), and sometimes I think the compass is just trying to play with my head ( I know my area well enough to know that I am going due south, and the reading is NW). Overall, very nice, especially since I got it for around $750+, instead of the $1200 and up prices I was seeing from many other online sites. Great sound though I will say that the radio reception seems a little diminished as compared to the original head, but that could be a function of the adapter, and not the JVC itself, and is not really that big an issue. Maneuvering around the menu's does take a little time to get used to, but once you have done it for awhile, it becomes pretty simple, especially when you only need to access setup menu's and the like, a few times in the beginning. I do wish that the phone icon was offered on the radio and iPod/iPhone menu pages, or, that I could keep up the phone menu after placing a phone call, without having to go back to either the map screen or function screen to retrieve it. That can be a pain if you are making repeated phone calls. And, I thought that this head offered SMS, which unless I am missing something somewhere, it does not. Anyway, I wouldn't feel bad about buying this unit again, because after checking everything else available, I didn't see anything that didn't have its own set of issues/complaints, and some of them are way more expensive, so, hope this helps.
